چکیده

Iliac stenting of post-thrombotic chronic venous obstruction is an established form treatment with good results, but iliofemoral has had variable success, believed to be due poor inflow and some have been deterred from below the inguinal ligament all together these limitations. We attempted optimize by surgically removing septae in common femoral vein before flush at confluence. In a retrospective analysis our own previously published material (2018), where we performed stenting, identified subgroup patients (group A) that compromised infrainguinal vessels. These were period treated dominant vessel. The stent patency this group was 58 % after 2 years. Revisiting magnetic resonance venography (MRV) pictures showed choosing single vessel could exclude other sources intravenous septae. Consequently, changed approach introducing hybrid procedure. This includes endophlebectomy 2-cm segment above confluence, resecting fibrotic tissue collecting possible inflow. Then deploying self-expanding Here present retrospective, preliminary first eight B) method during September 2018 October 2020. Femoral Endovenectomy with Iliac Stenting for Chronic Iliofemoral Venous Occlusion

A 62-year-old man with progressive swelling on his left thigh and leg was referred to the Division of Vascular Surgery. Anticoagulation therapy did not prevent or improve the symptoms of chronic deep vein thrombosis (DVT) from his left external iliac vein to posterior tibial vein. He had no trauma history nor any accidents. He underwent femoral endovenectomy, thrombectomy and stent insertion in...

OBJECTIVES To evaluate the long-term results of catheter-directed thrombolysis (CDT) and the feasibility of stent placement for lower extremity deep vein thrombosis (DVT). DESIGN & METHODS Retrospective study of 34 patients (10 men and 24 women, mean age 55, S.D. 13 years) with lower extremity DVT underwent CDT at Seoul National University Hospital from January 1999 to October 2003. Long-term outcome of transfemoral thrombectomy in patients with acute iliofemoral vein thrombosis

Abstract Background: The optimal therapy of acute iliofemoral venous thrombosis is still a matter of debate. The purpose of our study was to evaluate the late results of iliofemoral thrombectomy with regard to the prevention of the development of a Post Thrombotic Syndrome (PTS). Methods: During 2000-2003, 18 patients underwent transfemoral venous thrombectomy for acute iliofemoral venous thro...

Patients affected by post-thrombotic syndrome at clinical stage C6 CEAP present invalidating symptomatology often not controllable with conservative therapies. Deep vein valves reconstruction enables the patient to achieve clinical benefit. Femoral transposition and venous segment transplantation are not feasible in all situations, due to anatomical and technical limitations. These reasons have...
